Clay Travis considers “a big danger” looming for Alabama.
As part of his top 10 for Outkick The Coverage, the analyst on Saturday broke down why he placed the Crimson Tide as the top squad in his rankings. But near the end of his analysis, he wrote that “Auburn on the final week of the season still looms as a big danger” for Nick Saban’s team.
Check out Travis’ full thought below.
The Tide rolled.
Rinse and repeat.
Alabama is 8-0 and has a week off to get ready for LSU. The trip to Auburn on the final week of the season still looms as a big danger, but it’s hard to believe Nick Saban’s team is going to lose to anyone in the regular season.
That commentary is fair. After all, it can be argued that Auburn is the SEC West’s second-best team at the moment. The Iron Bowl on Nov. 25 will be a fascinating test for the Crimson Tide, as long as Auburn continues to rebound from a bad loss to LSU in Baton Rouge. But Travis is right: Alabama should escape that matchup with a victory.
It would be good for the conference if Auburn put up strong resistance against Alabama. We’ll find out if the Tigers can be “a big danger” to the Crimson Tide in time.
