Alabama could already be the early favorites to win the national championship next season. Clemson coach Dabo Swinney seems to not particularly care.
After the Tigers beat the Crimson Tide, 35-31, in a thrilling national championship game on Monday night, Swinney made a comment about the Crimson Tide, acknowledging Alabama’s chance to be in the game again next season while also poking some fun at Nick Saban’s Crimson Tide.
“Alabama’s probably going to be back next year,” Swinney said, according to NFL.com’s Chase Goodbread. “Nick’s buying my dinner this year, though.”

It took until the final second for Clemson to notch the game’s final score, a 2-yard touchdown pass from Deshaun Watson to Hunter Renfrow that gave the Tigers redemption after losing to the Tide in the national championship game a year ago.
