Alabama QB Cooper Bateman was probably having a pretty good night. He made his first career start for the Crimson Tide and began it by completing seven of his first eight passes in front of the home crowd.
Then, with his team tied 3-3 in the second quarter, Bateman threw an interception and had his world absolutely rocked by Ole Miss linebacker Denzel Nkemdiche, who decked the sophomore as he halfheartedly jogged to cover the return.
Let this stand as a lesson to the young Bateman: Never let your guard down, or you will get hurt.
