Alabama lost the commitment of 4-star running back Dameon Pierce on Thursday, with the 2018 signing class prospect posting on Twitter that he will be reopening his recruitment.
In a recent interview with DawgNation, Pierce hinted that he might be interested in other schools.
“Due to a recent conversation with my mom, I’m right now back at square one in my recruiting process,” Pierce told DawgNation reporter Jeff Sentell. “I didn’t take enough visits before I committed to Alabama. It stands out to me now that I need to take more visits and weigh my options. So, that’s what I’m doing right now.”
Pierce is ranked as the No. 5 running back in the nation. The Bainbridge, Ga. native took an unofficial visit to Georgia on April 22 during the Bulldogs annual spring game.
