Danny Kanell among critics of Da’Shawn Hand’s non-suspension by Alabama
Noted SEC hater Danny Kanell is already in midseason form.
The former Florida State quarterback-turned-SEC-critic had some harsh words for the non-suspension of Da’Shawn Hand by Alabama coach Nick Saban on Thursday.
Kanell, on Twitter, paid particular attention to the ride-along aspect of Hand’s punishment.
I'd like to apologize to Bama fans. I didn't think Saban would punish Hand enough. Clearly didn't see the ride-a-long coming. Whoa..Harsh!!

Hand was arrested on Saturday after falling asleep with his car running near campus in Tuscaloosa.
“If he does everything he’s supposed to do, he will not be suspended,” Saban said on Thursday.
Of course, the Tide play Kanell’s Seminoles on Sept. 2 in the season opener.
Kanell, formerly of ESPN, wasn’t the only media member who thought Saban took it easy on the defensive lineman.
Nick Saban: Da'Shawn Hand wasn't driving when he was arrested for DUI. Alabama DUI Law: You don't need to be driving to be arrested for DUI. https://t.co/5DfT6IXL15

So Da’Shawn Hand won’t be suspended b/c he was asleep in the car & not driving the car. If Bama were playing Bethune-Cookman Week 1 he sits.
