Alabama players are ridiculous.
It’s common knowledge among most who follow college football that the Crimson Tide have an embarrassment of riches on their roster. But it’s amazing to see what players can produce — and in this case, the numbers certainly don’t lie.
AL.com released fascinating notable numbers from Alabama’s spring workouts. And yes, there are some doozies.
How about quarterback Jalen Hurts running a 4.48 40-yard dash? (The fastest quarterback at the most recent NFL combine, former Texas A&M signal-caller Trevor Knight, ran a 4.54.)
How about linebacker Dylan Moses running a 4.46 40-yard dash? As pointed out by AL.com, that was faster than all but two of Alabama’s wide receivers. (Amazing!) In addition, Moses bench-pressed 405 pounds, squatted 500 pounds and did a 335 power clean.
How about defensive lineman Da’Ron Payne squatting 635 pounds and bench-pressing an unreal 545 pounds? It doesn’t seem fair.
Simply, this is incredible stuff from the machine in Tuscaloosa. The entire post is worth a read, so be sure to give it a click.
It should be no surprise that Alabama will be favored to win another SEC title next season. Top programs are built by recruiting top talent, and Alabama has a surplus of elite skill on campus at the moment.
These numbers are amazing for Crimson Tide fans. They’re scary for everyone else.
