Four-star cornerback Kristian Fulton reeled in an offer from Alabama just hours before Christmas.
Fulton, the No. 4 cornerback in the country, announced the news through Twitter on Thursday. Alabama, ironically, becomes the 25th school to offer the 6-foot, 177-pound senior from Louisiana.
Newly hired defensive coordinator Jeremy Pruitt and running backs coach Burton Burns have been his lead recruiters.
Breakdown: Fulton has long been considered a favorite to sign with LSU, a program that resides not too far from his home in Metairie, La. Per 247Sports.com’s Crystal Ball predictions, 100 percent of the votes peg him signing with the Tigers.
Fulton conceded to SEC Country in a recent interview that he’ll officially visit LSU or Miami on Jan. 15, Arkansas on Jan. 22 and Florida on Jan. 29. It remains to be seen how much of an impact Alabama’s offer will have on Fulton’s January plans. He will decide on National Signing Day.
