Plenty of rumors have surrounded Lane Kiffin this season, but one fan may have found the most absurd one.
Kiffin accepted the head coaching position at FAU on Monday morning. “Scotty” called into The Paul Finebaum Show in the afternoon and shared a rumor he heard about the Alabama offensive coordinator. Apparently, he doesn’t think Kiffin will be going to Boca Raton by himself.
Scotty in Trinity, AL says he's heard rumors that Jalen Hurts will follow Kiffin to FAU. Asked Paul for comment. Can't make this stuff up.

That’s right. This fan thought Alabama true freshman quarterback Jalen Hurts, who won SEC Offensive Player of the Year, might actually leave an eventual national champion to play for the Owls in C-USA. Silly season is in full swing.
That would create a terrible quarterback situation for Alabama, which will have lost three quarterbacks to transfer by the end of the season. But it isn’t happening.
Kiffin is taking a pay cut for the chance to be a head coach again. And he’ll have to make due with less talent as well. FAU starting QB Jason Driskel completed 61.2 percent of his passes in 2016. He threw for 2,415 yards, 9 touchdowns and 11 interceptions. He also ran for 242 yards and 4 touchdowns.
