If Alabama ends up winning the national championship in a little over a week, you had better believe that recruits everywhere are going to want to play for the Crimson Tide.
Jeff Thomas, a five-star wide receiver from East St. Louis (Ill.) High School, is one of those players. Thomas, the nation’s No. 5 wide receiver in the class of 2017, told Tom VanHaaren of ESPN that Alabama currently leads for him.
The 5-foot-10, 170-pounder holds 12 offers right now, and according to his 247Sports Crystal Ball, recruiting analysts believe Ohio State has the best chance to get his commitment.
Thomas is rated as the nation’s No. 27 overall recruit.
