One of Chicago’s famous deep dish pizzas helped former Alabama defensive lineman Jarran Reed cope with his slip out of the first round of the 2016 NFL Draft. When he was finally chosen by the Seattle Seahawks with the No. 49 overall pick in the second round, Reed carried a bag of Skittles he had been eating to the stage.
The candy company recognized the moment and sent Reed a gift.

Reed brought the Skittles on stage as a tribute to recently retired Seahawks running back Marshawn Lynch, who was a Skittles spokesman and known for eating the candy during games.
If Reed has a sweet tooth in the near future, he won’t have a problem satisfying his craving.
