Former Alabama running back Kenyan Drake has generated some steady interest from a handful of potential NFL suitors.
Drake told The Buffalo News’ Tyler Dunne he has met with four NFL teams, including the Dallas Cowboys, Miami Dolphins, San Francisco 49ers and Indianapolis Colts. Each team has a glaring need at the tailback position and each team, aside from Dallas, ranked in the bottom-half in the league in rushing last season.
Playing second fiddle in the Bama backfield to Derrick Henry hasn’t hurt Drake’s draft stock too much because of his three-down capabilities. He ran for 408 yards and one touchdown with 29 receptions for 276 yards and a touchdown last season. He is rated as the No. 8 running back in the class by CBSSports.com and is projected to be a third or fourth-round pick.
