Atlanta Falcons wide receiver Julio Jones knows a thing or two about winning a championship at Alabama, having done so with the school in 2009. The NFL star told Loud Genius’ Bria Janelle he would be in attendance in Glendale, Ariz. to cheer his school on in next week’s College Football Playoff National Championship game against Clemson.
Janelle asked Jones to give some advice to the current Crimson Tide team hoping to add to the program’s legendary history. Jones said to play loose and enjoy the moment.
“Just go out there and have fun,” Jones said. “I will be out there attending the game. I’ll try to talk to the team beforehand, but just go out there and have fun. Relax and play well.”
Playing loose in a high- pressure environment against the undefeated Tigers might be easier said than done, but could be an important tip for the Crimson Tide next Monday.
