After being waived by the Carolina Panthers last week, Kevin Norwood is back with an NFL team.
The San Diego Chargers signed the former Alabama wide receiver to their practice squad on Tuesday, the team announced in a press release.
Norwood played at Alabama from 2010-13 where he collected 1,275 receiving yards and 12 touchdowns before he was selected in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft by the Seattle Seahawks.
In his first season in Seattle, Norwood caught nine passes for 102 yards. He was traded to the Panthers before the start of the 2015 season, but saw action in one game.
After playing well in three preseason games, Norwood suffered a hip injury in the final contest and was on Carolina’s injured reserve list until last week.
He is now fully healthy and looking for his shot to see the field in the NFL once again.
