When it comes to picking a side in the College Football Playoff championship game, former LSU tailback Jacob Hester has just one rule: Don’t root for your rivals.
Some fans may root for a rival because it helps represent its respective conference. Hester voiced his strong opinion on the matter on Twitter before Monday night’s title game.
Friendly reminder: Don't EVER root for your rivals in National Championship games or any game. It doesn't help your school, it hurts it.

So if you’re an Auburn, LSU, or heck just a fan of any other SEC team that’s not in Tuscaloosa, Ala., Hester advises you not to root for the Crimson Tide.
