Four-star quarterback and Kentucky commit Mac Jones just received his 15th offer from the unlikeliest of programs: Alabama.

The offer may raise some eyebrows, but not after realizing the projected quarterback situation in Tuscaloosa isn’t ideal. First, Alabama missed out on several other top quarterback prospects, including most recently Bailey Hockman, who committed to Florida State. Tua Tagovailoa, the nation’s No. 2 dual-threat quarterback from Honolulu, is at the top of Alabama’s wish list, but Southern Cal is No. 1 in his heart at the moment and being 4,000 miles away doesn’t help Nick Saban’s case.
It’s not clear if Jones can be swayed by the Crimson Tide’s offer, but it is clear they’re not leaving any stones unturned in an attempt to strengthen the quarterback position. Luring Jones from Kentucky would go a long way in achieving that.
Chris Kirschner of SEC Country also noted several other quarterback prospects that are in Alabama’s crosshairs, including four-star prospect Lowell Narcisse.
