Nick Saban didn’t like the fact that quarterback Blake Barnett officially transferred from Alabama on Thursday. The Crimson Tide coach said he would never quit a team.
Fox Sports radio host Colin Cowherd said he thinks Saban is fine with quitting, just as long as it benefits him.
“So he’s OK with quitters as long as he gets them and doesn’t lose them,” Cowherd said on his radio show, “The Herd,” on Friday afternoon.
Cowherd pointed out that Saban won a national championship with a transfer quarterback. Just about nine months ago, quarterback Jake Coker led the Crimson Tide to a 45-40 win over Clemson in the National Championship game.
Coker, of course, came to Alabama from Florida State.
“No coach has benefited from a transfer like Nick Saban in the past two years,” Cowherd added on the show.
