TUSCALOOSA, Ala. — Starting wide receiver Robert Foster is out with a serious shoulder injury, so the Crimson Tide will turn to true freshman Calvin Ridley against Louisiana-Monroe on Saturday afternoon.
The official depth chart issued on Saturday listed Ridley as the starter at “X” receiver, while ArDarius Stewart (“Z”) and Richard Mullaney (“Y”) filled the other receiving slots.
Ridley, a 5-star prospect from Coconut Creek, Fla., has already caught 13 passes for 87 yards this season. He is still looking for his first touchdown.
The Crimson Tide are favored by more than five touchdowns against the Warhawks on Saturday, and Ridley will likely get plenty of chances to make big plays against ULM.
