Alabama may have lost out on Calvin Ridley’s brother Saturday afternoon, but the Crimson Tide gained a commitment from another wideout late Saturday night.
Tyler Simmons, a three-star prospect from McEachern High School (Powder Springs, Ga.), committed to Alabama, per his Twitter account. His father, Shon, confirmed the news with SEC Country.
The 5-foot-11, 194-pounder committed to the Crimson Tide over Georgia, Texas A&M and Georgia Tech.
With Simmons on board, Alabama now has 17 commits in this year’s recruiting class, with only two of them being wide receivers.
