One of the nation’s top graduate transfer quarterbacks is set to make his college decision on Monday, and he’s down to two schools.
Montana State quarterback transfer Dakota Prukop will either enroll at Alabama or Oregon, as told to SEC Country. Prukop said he will announce his decision around 8:30 p.m. ET.
Prukop threw for 3,025 yards and 28 touchdowns with 10 interceptions. He also rushed for 797 yards and 11 touchdowns while at Montana State.
His final two choices have an immediate opening at the starting quarterback position. Both Jake Coker (Alabama) and Vernon Adams (Oregon) are set to graduate.
The 6-foot-2, 200-pounder made a last minute official visit to Alabama this past weekend.
He will be eligible to play immediately due to NCAA graduate transfer rules.
If Prukop did decide to enroll at Alabama, the Crimson Tide would have six quarterbacks on the roster. Senior Alec Morris, junior Cooper Bateman, sophomore David Cornwell, redshirt freshman Blake Barnett and true freshman Jalen Hurts would all be in Tuscaloosa battling out for the starting role.
