Tua Tagovailoa has made an appearance for Alabama.
The talented, young signal-caller, who signed with the Crimson Tide as the No. 1 dual-threat quarterback for the Class of 2017, made his debut as an Alabama quarterback in the second quarter Saturday. With the Crimson Tide handling Fresno State, 21-3, at Bryant-Denny Stadium, Tagovailoa appeared and completed 2 of 3 passes for 15 yards on his first drive. He also was sacked for a loss of 8 yards.
The drive went just 5 plays for 10 yards, and it ended with a fourth-and-15 punt for Alabama from Fresno State’s 38-yard line. Still, this was a big moment for Tagovailoa, who figures to factor into Alabama’s future plans in a big way.
You can bet Crimson Tide fans will be watching Tagovailoa’s development closely this season and into the coming years.
