Jonathan Allen likely will be a high pick in next month’s NFL draft, and deservedly so after his stellar last two seasons while playing at Alabama. But the former Crimson Tide defensive lineman won’t find out his new home until the night of the draft.
However, Allen will be meeting with teams before then, as his potential suitors see if he’s a fit for their team’s defense. According to Matt Zenitz of AL.com, Allen already has two visits scheduled — the Chicago Bears on March 20 and the Jacksonville Jaguars in early April.
The Bears have the No. 3 pick in the draft, while the Jaguars select right behind them at No. 4.
Allen totaled 22.5 sacks over the past two seasons with Alabama, including 10.5 in 2016. He set new career highs last year with 69 tackles and 3 fumble recoveries, as well as scoring his first defensive touchdown.
