A judge dismissed a fraud law suit filed in Alabama against former Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin, who is now the coach at Florida Atlantic.
The judge in the case, Shelby County Circuit Judge Lara Alvis, ended up dismissing the case and it cannot be refiled, the AP reported.
Former Alabama wide receiver Antonio “A.C.” Carter said that Kiffin had promised him a job at Florida Atlantic if he could help land a prospect. Kiffin and the school did not end up bringing on Carter as a coach and cited to two “minor misdemeanor” charges that had disqualified him.
Kiffin is in his first season as the coach at Florida Atlantic after spending the last three at Alabama. He is 3-3 this year.
