Alabama offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin’s contract will be discussed at a meeting of the Alabama Board of Trustees Friday, according to AL.com’s Michael Casagrande.
Kiffin is currently coaching in the final season of a three-year deal with the Crimson Tide. The board’s compensation committee will discuss amendments to his contract as well as other coaches in the athletic department.
Kiffin’s salary in the first two years of his deal was $680,000. This year, it was bumped to $714,000. He has also been receiving pay through his severance package from USC, which fired him in 2013.
The former USC and Tennessee head coach has orchestrated an offense that has scored over 35 points per game in each of the past two seasons while producing a Heisman trophy winner at running back in Derrick Henry in 2014.
