ESPN’s Lee Corso once wanted to bring a baby elephant to pick the Crimson Tide.
Before No. 1 Mississippi State visited Alabama in 2014, Corso insisted on using a baby elephant to pick the Crimson Tide, according to AL.com’s Michael Casagrande.
“And you know Corso,” College GameDay executive producer Lee Fitting said to AL.com, “he just thinks an elephant can just magically appear.”
Unfortunately, ESPN wasn’t able to make this happen.
Corso and the rest of the College GameDay crew will visit Tuscaloosa again this weekend when the top-ranked Crimson Tide host No. 6 Texas A&M. Corso has picked Alabama 24 times on the show — more than any other school. Corso is 16-8 when picking the Tide.
If Corso does pick the Tide again this weekend, let’s hope the baby elephant finally makes an appearance.
