As any Alabama fan will tell you, Eli Gold’s voice is golden.
The Crimson Tide’s play-by-play announcer has provided a sweet soundtrack for Alabama faithful over time. That was the case again Saturday night during the Crimson Tide’s 10-0 victory over LSU at Tiger Stadium.
Check out his call of the 21-yard touchdown run by Alabama quarterback Jalen Hurts early in the fourth quarter, a play that gave the Crimson Tide a 7-0 lead.

This was a giant victory for Alabama, which improved to 9-0 and survived its toughest remaining test away from Bryant-Denny Stadium. The Crimson Tide close the regular season with home games against Mississippi State, Chattanooga and Auburn.
The win Saturday displayed Alabama’s versatility. For the first time this season, the Crimson Tide showed they could win a tight defensive struggle, and credit goes to Alabama’s defense for shutting down LSU’s offense. The ability of the Crimson Tide’s offense to do just enough in the fourth quarter was impressive as well.
An interesting matchup against Auburn looms on Nov. 26. But it’s hard to see an opponent overpowering Alabama at this point. Any foe will need help to top the Crimson Tide.
