Alabama athletic director Greg Byrne theoretically should be pulling for his SEC pals and South Carolina to beat Gonzaga. But Byrne is a little more conflicted than most given his connection to Mark Few.
Byrne, who was hired earlier this year from Arizona, shared a photo on Saturday of himself and his high school basketball team. One of the coaches on that team? None other than Gonzaga head coach Mark Few.
Check it out below. What a small world it is.

Few has been the head coach at Gonzaga since the 1999-2000 season and the Bulldogs have made the NCAA Tournament every year under his direction. This is the first time that the Bulldogs have been in the Final Four in program history. The Bulldogs took on the Gamecocks and had a 45-36 lead at halftime.
So the first Final Four game is a real win-win for Byrne. Maybe next year, with the addition of 5-star point guard Collin Sexton, the Crimson Tide can make it to the NCAA Tournament and face off against Few and Gonzaga.
