Alabama will take the field for Monday night’s national championship game vs. Clemson with two players in mind.
As relayed by SEC Country’s Marq Burnett, Crimson Tide players will take on Clemson with a message that serves as a hat tip toward Alabama defensive back Eddie Jackson and linebacker Shaun Dion Hamilton.

Jackson, a safety, sustained a season-ending broken leg in a victory over Texas A&M on Oct. 22. He remained a motivating force for the Crimson Tide throughout the program’s run to a third consecutive SEC title and a win over Washington in the Peach Bowl. Jackson had 24 tackles and 1 interception this season. He also returned two punts for touchdowns.
Hamilton, meanwhile, tore his ACL in Alabama’s victory over Florida in the SEC Championship Game on Dec. 3. He had 64 tackles, 9 tackles for loss and 2 sacks this season.
