Lane Kiffin is at the national championship game … sort of.
In the moments before the title game between Alabama and Clemson kicked off Monday night, SEC Network’s Twitter account published an amazing photo of someone dressed like former Crimson Tide offensive coordinator Lane Kiffin at Raymond James Stadium.
This guy put together an impressive costume. He secured a Florida Atlantic hat and shirt, a headset and a sign that predicted the Owls would go 15-0 under Kiffin, their new coach.

Pretty terrific, right?
Kiffin parted with Alabama after the Peach Bowl, and Steve Sarkisian became the Crimson Tide’s offensive coordinator after serving as an offensive analyst for the program in recent months.
It was reported Monday that ESPN asked Kiffin to be part of its coverage of the national championship game, but the former Saban assistant declined. Instead, Kiffin will watch from Boca Raton, Fla., where he’s beginning his job as Florida Atlantic’s coach.
It remains to be seen how Alabama will do without Kiffin. But the fan above wins the day for that costume.
