It seems like Alabama quarterback Mac Jones is a prophet of some sorts.
On Wednesday night, Jones shared a letter that he wrote himself on his final day of fifth grade. In said letter he wrote that he hoped to be the best all around athlete in the class of 2017. His teacher, Mrs. Collins also said that he’d end up on an athletic scholarship and probably will play quarterback, which he ended up doing when he picked Alabama.
Picked up my letter I wrote in the 5th grade. Thank you Mrs. Collins this is hilarious 😂 pic.twitter.com/nEeNCEGajL

The best part of the letter though came at the end when the young Jones wrote that he hoped to go to prom with one of three girls.
Jones was a 3-star quarterback in the class of 2017 out of Jacksonville, Florida. He ended up redshirting in his first year on campus. He went through spring practice as Alabama’s No. 3 quarterback. But should Jalen Hurts potentially transfer, Jones figures to become the No. 2 quarterback on the roster.
Jones had a strong spring game, as he completed 23 of his 35 passes for 289 yards with 2 touchdowns and 1 interception and took home MVP honors.
Alabama opens the 2018 season on Sept. 1 when the Crimson Tide take on Louisville. The game will be played in Jones’ home state of Florida, though it will be in Orlando.
