Unlike how the national championship played out this past season, Clemson came out on top over Alabama for a very important decision regarding the nation’s No. 1 player.
Jennifer Coney, the mother of five-star defensive tackle Rashan Gary, told SEC Country that she and her son will take their final official visit to Clemson instead of Alabama this weekend. The Crimson Tide were hoping to host Gary this weekend and looked to be in good shape. Coney told SEC Country earlier in the week that Gary was leaning toward visiting Alabama.
With the news of Gary visiting Clemson over Alabama, it seems highly unlikely that the nation’s top player will be committing to Alabama come National Signing Day.
