One of the nation’s top wide receivers will come off the board Thursday night.
Jerry Jeudy, a 4-star wide receiver from Deerfield Beach (Fla.) High School, will pick from Alabama, Florida, Tennessee, Miami and Florida State live on the Tony Sands Show at 8:30 p.m. ET, SEC Country can confirm.
Jeudy was at Florida’s Friday Night Lights camp this past week and told SEC Country’s Zach Abolverdi that Florida and Alabama were his top two schools, with the others remaining in the mix. His commitment is expected to come down to either the Crimson Tide, the Gators or Hurricanes.
As of now, Alabama looks to be in best position to land the nation’s No. 6 wide receiver. He spent four days in Tuscaloosa last week and is close friends with Alabama sophomore wide receiver Calvin Ridley.
The 6-foot-1, 177-pound prospect was on a team of six Alabama commitments at The Opening a few weeks ago and grew close to Crimson Tide quarterback commit Tua Tagovailoa.
“That’s a great quarterback. He’s a very special quarterback,” Jeudy said at the time. “He made good reads all day and he has a great arm. He’s a wonderful kid. Everyone loves him. Every time someone gets mad, he just brings them right back up. He’s always happy.”
If Jeudy commits to Alabama, he would give the Crimson Tide their second wide receiver recruit in the Class of 2017 joining 4-star Tyrell Shavers.
