Tom Arnold created quite a stir on Friday.
The comedian, appearing on the Paul Finebaum show, said that Alabama head coach Nick Saban expressed interest in the New York Giants job last year. The job was ultimately filled by Ben Mcadoo, who was the Giants offensive coordinator.
On Monday, NFL Insider Ian Rapoport said that Arnold’s story was ‘totally false but awesome.’

Saban’s last season in the NFL was 10 years ago. In his time at Alabama, he’s won four national championship and Alabama is currently ranked No. 1 in the country. The unbeaten Crimson Tide travel to LSU this weekend in a big SEC matchup.
