What to buy after signing your first NFL contract is a tough decision for some, but Ryan Anderson got it right.
The former Alabama linebacker, who the Washington Redskins selected in the second round of April’s NFL draft, decided to buy his mother a house.
Take a look at the touching collection of photos he shared on Instagram to capture the moment.
It was Anderson’s mother who told him to stick with it at Alabama after a redshirt season, and that encouragement helped him on the way to becoming a first team All-SEC player for the 2016 season.
Last year for the Crimson Tide, he recorded 61 tackles, 19 for loss, 9 sacks, 4 forced fumbles and 1 interception, the first of his career, which he returned for a touchdown in Alabama’s Sugar Bowl win over Washington.
He will start training camp with the Redskins later this month.
