Denzel Devall left Alabama earlier this year to try and earn a professional contract.
Now, the former linebacker is back in Tuscaloosa for a job as a personnel assistant on the Crimson Tide staff, according to a report by AL.com‘s Matt Zenitz.
Devall went undrafted in the 2016 NFL Draft, and was unable to latch on with any teams as a free agent. With the NFL’s regular season kickoff a little more than a month away, he’s apparently ready to begin his coaching career.
He started all 15 games for Alabama’s national championship team last season, recording 25 tackles (11 solo) and one sack in the process.
