Alabama nickel back Tony Brown is reportedly returning for his senior season.
AL.com’s Matt Zenitz reports Brown will not enter the NFL draft, electing to come back to Alabama for the 2017 season. Three other Alabama underclassmen are reportedly entering the draft so far, including Brown’s fellow defensive back Marlon Humphrey.
Brown played in 11 games this season for Alabama. He missed the team’s first four games while serving an NCAA suspension. He took over as the primary nickel back after Eddie Jackson suffered a season-ending leg injury Oct. 22 against Texas A&M.
Alabama is holding a press conference Friday for underclassmen who are declaring early. Along with Humphrey, WR ArDarius Stewart and LT Cam Robinson are both expected to leave early.
