Alonzo Gee has bounced around a lot of places as a professional basketball player, but the former Crimson Tide notable is staying put for this upcoming season.
According to AP reporter Brett Martel, Gee has agreed to a one-year deal with the New Orleans Pelicans worth $1.4 million. The contract is expected to be signed on Friday.
Gee, a 6-foot-6 small forward, averaged 4.5 points and 3.4 rebounds in 73 games for the Pelicans last year.
Gee averaged 12.7 points per game on 44.7 percent shooting with Alabama from 2005-09, during which he garnered All-SEC Freshman Team (’06) and Second-Team All-SEC (’09) honors. He has since played for six different NBA squads and also served a stint in the Polish Basketball League.
