The Alabama women’s basketball team is moving to a new home, sort of.
The women’s team will play its home games for the 2016-17 season in Coleman Coliseum, which also serves as the venue for men’s basketball games and gymnastics events, according to a report from Tuscaloosanews.com’s Tommy Deas.
The Crimson Tide women played their games in Coleman Coliseum from 1984 until 2011, when the home games were moved to Foster Auditorium, which is shared with the Alabama volleyball team. The Coliseum has 15,383 seats while the Auditorium has a capacity of 3,800.
The women’s basketball team posted a 15-16 (4-12 SEC) record last season before falling to Tulane in the first round of the NIT Tournament.
