The Green Bay Packers have been struggling to get the most out of running back Eddie Lacy this season, so the organization decided to ask Lacy’s college coach for advice.
Enter Nick Saban, who told Packers coaches to get Lacy off the field, according to a tweet from ESPN’s Ed Werder.
“Alabama coach Nick Saban told Packers only way to change Eddie Lacy behavior is take (the) game away from him,” Werder said.
That’s what the team did last Thursday in Detroit, where Lacy played only 19 snaps after breaking curfew the night before. We’ll soon find out if Green Bay plans to employ a similar strategy this week; the Packers host the Dallas Cowboys at 4:25 pm ET Sunday (FOX).
