Alabama’s losses are turning into Kansas’ gains.
The Jayhawks picked up another Crimson Tide transfer as Charles Baldwin will join the program, according to 247Sports’ Ryan Bartow. Baldwin passed the admissions process after being offered on Monday, and is set to sign scholarship papers on August 22, per Bartow.
Baldwin was dismissed from the Crimson Tide in May “for a violation of team rules.” after arriving in Tuscaloosa in January out of ASA College in Brooklyn, N.Y.
The former 4-star recruit was ranked as the No. 1 JUCO offensive tackle in last year’s class, and the No. 2 overall player from the junior college ranks, according to 247Sports’ composite rankings.
Baldwin will have to sit out a year because of NCAA transfer rules, and will have two years of eligibility remaining.
He becomes the second Alabama player to transfer to the Jayhawks after wide receiver Daylon Charlot announced that he will join the Jayhawks on Thursday.
