Former Alabama reserve running back Tyren Jones reportedly has run into trouble.
As reported by Ross Cavitt of WSB-TV early Tuesday morning, Jones was arrested in Smyrna, Ga., after being accused of assaulting a person with a handgun.

Jones, a former 4-star recruit, had 36 carries for 224 yards with 2 touchdowns during the 2014 season for Alabama. He was dismissed from the Crimson Tide’s roster in March 2015 after he was arrested for marijuana possession.
Early last year, he was a South Carolina commitment. But he did not sign with the Gamecocks because of academic questions. He attended Hutchinson (Kan.) Community College.
Alabama finished the most recent season with a 14-1 record after losing to Clemson in the national championship game.
