Dan Enos accepted a job on Michigan’s staff less than a month ago. Now he may be on the move back to the SEC.
Doug Samuels of Football Scoop is reporting that Enos is a “strong candidate” to join Nick Saban’s staff at Alabama.
Now, as Saban looks to compile the most talented coaching staff possible, roads have led to conversations with Enos. We understand the possibility of a coordinator title being included at Alabama is a real possibility at this point.
Enos’ move north made a lot of sense at the time. He was the head coach at Central Michigan from 2010 to 2014 and played quarterback at Michigan State.
The one wrinkle which connects Enos to Alabama is he played for Saban while he was wearing green and white. Enos lost his job when Bret Bielema was fired. While the Crimson Tide didn’t move fast enough to snatch him the coaching carousel early on, it appears they’re still interested in his services.
Even though he’s a Michigan native, there is no telling what kind of pull the allure of possibly joining a dynasty might have.
UPDATE: Yahoo Sports’ Pete Thamel reported that Enos is expected to leave for Alabama and that Enos will coach quarterbacks.
