Alabama might catch a huge break on Monday night, according to an injury report from The Post & Courier‘s Aaron Brenner.
Two days after talking some serious smack to the Crimson Tide, star Clemson defensive back Mackensie Alexander “might be limited or out” with a hamstring issue, according to a tweet from Brenner.
The All-American sophomore re-aggravated his injury late in the Tigers’ 37-17 semifinal win over Oklahoma on Dec. 31.
Saturday, he made some bold statements about the Alabama-Clemson matchup.
“You guys know we’ve got a better team,” he told the media, according to AL.com‘s John Talty. “Everyone cares about the brand, the Alabama brand. I understand it’s a lot of fans, and they’ve done it for a long time, but this is a new year, and it’s our time.”
