Expectations are high for Alabama basketball this season. That is because of the strength of the past couple of recruiting classes head coach Avery Johnson has put together, notably headlined by five-star point guard Collin Sexton. However, the Tide certainly aren’t done — they are in on more top end talent for 2018, as well.
The latest prospect to make his interest in Tuscaloosa known is four-star guard Jared Butler, who named Alabama to his final six on Tuesday evening:

Butler is a 6-foot-2 guard from Riverside Academy in Reserve, La. He is the 94th-best prospect in the class of 2018, according to 247Sports. While the Tide are undoubtedly going up against some strong competition for his signature, their recent history of pulling in top players should mean that they’re in this recruitment until the very end.
