Another year, another season with Nick Saban and the Alabama Crimson Tide on top of the college football world.
Alabama is once again the No. 1 team in the country and has dominated just about every opponent it has faced so far, with only Texas A&M playing the Tide to single digits.
And Saban is once again the top of the SEC Country Coaches Approval Rating. He has a 98.7 rating, though Kirby Smart did challenge him for the top spot this month.
As for what fans are saying about Saban, you can see those comments below:
But Saban has had to overcome some challenges this year. He hired Brian Daboll to be Alabama’s offensive coordinator after Steve Sarkisian left in the offseason, and even before that, he parted ways with Lane Kiffin in the week leading up to the national title game.
Jalen Hurts still might not be a dynamic passer, but he limits mistakes, and Damien Harris has emerged as a bonafide star at the running back position.
Even with the staff turnover — tight ends coach Mario Cristobal and wide receivers coach Billy Napier also moved on — this season looks promising for Saban and Alabama, given the way the defense has performed.
As for Alabama’s 2018 recruiting class, the Crimson Tide have started slowly. Alabama has the No. 9 class in the SEC and the No. 24 class in the country, according to the 247Sports composite rankings. But a number of Alabama’s top targets have yet to make a decision.
Saban has come on top of every SEC Country approval rating poll. In the September edition, he had a 97.4 rating. Saban is yet to have a rating lower than 97 and has been No. 1 each month.
