Shannon Sharpe thinks Alabama will win another national championship Monday. And he’s so confident, he thinks they should change the name of the playoff.
Monday morning on FS1’s Undisputed, Sharpe said the College Football Playoff should just be renamed the “Alabama Invitational.” He joked the Crimson Tide would need to pay other teams to come to the tournament just to lose.
Sharpe’s thoughts on the Crimson Tide stood in stark contrast to those of his co-host and noted Nick Saban doubter, Skip Bayless.

Alabama has made the College Football Playoff each of the three years since the new postseason format began in 2014. Saban’s squad is the only team to accomplish that feat.
A win against Clemson would give the Crimson Tide its fifth championship since 2009. It would be Saban’s sixth title as a head coach, tying him with Bear Bryant for most all-time.
The title game kicks off at 8 p.m. ET on ESPN.
