While there’s off-the-field uncertainty surrounding Tim Williams entering the NFL draft, the former Alabama pass-rusher couldn’t be more confident about what he does on the field.
Williams, ranked as the No. 6 outside linebacker in this year’s crop by CBS Sports, doesn’t think there’s any player better at what he specialized in at Tuscaloosa.
Im the best pass rusher in the draft Cant tell me nothing if you aint never put cleats on. I get my respect from ppl who did it before me???

Over the past 2 seasons with Alabama, Williams had 19.5 sacks and 28.5 tackles for loss.
However, it’s his behavior away from the gridiron that concerns NFL teams, noted by failed drug tests and his arrest on a misdemeanor gun possession charge last September.
Despite that, and a lackluster showing at the NFL combine — a 4.68 in the 40-yard dash and a 33½-inch vertical — Williams is still projected to go in the second round.
ESPN’s Mel Kiper Jr. has Williams going with the very last pick of the second round (No. 64 overall), and Todd McShay has him going near the middle of the second (No. 46). Meanwhile, CBS has him as the 49th-ranked player.
