More than a month since announcing his plans to transfer, Alabama wide receiver Chris Black is not gone yet, and he’s firing shots at the coaching staff.
Black told GridironNow.com that Nick Saban and his assistants “never really gave me a chance to make it back into it” after the junior hurt his ankle this past summer.
“I feel like I’ve been caged for these past three years,” Black said, adding, “the system didn’t fit my type of skill set.”
Back on Dec. 7, the wideout tweeted that Alabama granted him full release from his scholarship.
“Want to thank all the coaches, fellow teammates, and fans who believed in me,” he wrote. “God is closing one door and opening another for me in 2016 and I’ve decided to transfer!”
The Jacksonville, Fla., native caught 25 passes for 290 yards and two touchdowns during his Crimson Tide career.
