Trent Richardson’s NFL comeback came to a halt on Tuesday.
The Baltimore Ravens announced on Tuesday that they have waived Trent Richardson.
After being selected with the No. 3 overall selection of the 2012 NFL Draft, Richardson ran for 950 yards and 11 touchdowns in his rookie season, but was traded to the Indianapolis Colts in the middle of the 2013 season. He failed to be a productive part of the Colts’ offense over the better part of two seasons, and was waived in March 2015.
He was in camp with the Oakland Raiders in 2015, but failed to make the team. A comeback seemed imminent as Richardson lost approximately 20 pounds after signing with the Ravens in April, but it remains to be seen if he will get another shot in the league.
