Alabama routs Southern Cal, 52-6, and Steve Sarkisian is later hired as an analyst for the Crimson Tide.
Does Trojans head coach Clay Helton sense anything fishy with that timing?
No, he doesn’t, and Helton is happy for his former boss. The Southern Cal coach said he reach out to Sarkisian on Tuesday to congratulate him on his new gig at Alabama, according to ESPN’s Kyle Bonagura.
Asked if he thought Sark helped Bama prep. Helton: "I don't think – I'm just glad he's in it to be honest with you…"

Southern Cal fired Sarkisian last October after the coach reportedly showed up to USC’s athletic facilities intoxicated. He reportedly checked into a rehabilitation facility that same week, and later sued the school for his dismissal.
Helton served as Southern Cal’s interim head coach following Sarkisian’s firing.
