No, Fitzpatrick will not get his own shot at Ruffin’s crotch, but Ruffin will write a personal apology letter, USC coach Clay Helton announced Sunday. Ruffin also will be suspended for the first half of his team’s next game against Utah State.

Ruffin was ejected after the second-quarter incident. Was it merely a coincidence that only two plays later USC quarterback Max Browne tossed a pick-six? Either way, that interception kicked off a 42-3 Alabama run to end the game, 52-6.
